Tiffany & Co.

Fall 2023 Master Class

 Company History

Tiffany & Co., founded in New York City in 1837 by Charles Lewis Tiffany, is a global luxury jeweler synonymous with elegance, innovative design, fine craftsmanship and creative excellence. With more than 300 retail stores worldwide and a workforce of more than 14,000 employees, Tiffany & Co. and its subsidiaries design, manufacture and market jewelry, watches and luxury accessories. Over 3,000 skilled artisans cut Tiffany diamonds and craft jewelry in the Company’s own workshops, realizing the brand’s commitment to superlative quality. Charles Lewis Tiffany was the first jeweler to establish the diamond ring as a symbol of love. In 1886, he introduced the Tiffany® Setting, the world’s most iconic engagement ring. Flawlessly engineered to allow the diamond to float above the band, it has played a part in the world’s greatest love stories for over 135 years. This innovation established Tiffany & Co. as more than a jewelry house—it is a destination for timeless design, unparalleled craftsmanship and the celebration of love.
